Our first two concerts of 2019, ‘The Best of British Baroque’, featuring the wonderful music of Handel and Purcell on May 11th and ‘It’s Love, actually’, celebrating all things Love on August 11th, were both a real success! We really enjoyed singing for our audience and we were joined by some fantastic soloists and instrumentalists, making these both unforgettable events.

Our Christmas concert will feature the whimsical musical setting of Clement C. Moore’s beloved Christmas poem ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’, and many festive favourites.
It will take place on Friday 13 December at 7:30pm Takapuna and promises to be magical.
Don’t miss this final 2019 concert!

A note from the Musical Director

I warmly welcome you to our 2019 season.

We have recently changed our name from the North Shore Chorale to Harbour Voices, to better reflect the diversity of our membership and the outreach and scope of our performances.

Our first concert is ‘The Best of British Baroque’ – a magnificent celebration of two of England’s finest composers whose lives span a century: Henry Purcell and George Frederic Handel. With soloists and instrumentalists, it promises to be a splendid evening.
Our second concert is our “Salute to Love”, including lighter choral favourites to warm your hearts on a chilly winter’s afternoon.
We will also be performing in the ASO’s Last Night of the Proms concerts with the Auckland Town Hall and Bruce Mason Centre in June.
Our final concert of the year is “A Very Spooky Christmas” on Friday the 13th (of December).
